I’m a simple man,... only a shepherd;
And there’s a god in heaven,... at least that’s what I’ve heard.
I lead a simple life,... a wife and children;
They look to me… for their every need.
I watch over my sheep. They are safe in my keep.
But who’s watching me?… I really don’t see.

What’s it all about? Where am I going?
I’m still in the dark when I should be knowing.
I look up and stare. Is anyone there? Or doesn’t he care?
Why’s there so much pain, heartache and sorrow?
How can I go on? I can’t face tomorrow.
I turn to the sky. I want to know why. Do you hear my cry?
Then the angel said...
