It doesn’t hurt to smile anymore, oh no
I’m not afraid to lift my head,
spread my wings and soar
I gave you a broken heart
You gave me a brand new start
The past is erased! Now I have the faith
to celebrate grace

I’m not an empty shell anymore, no I’m not
There’s a new song rising up,
now I’m steppin’ out the door
Once hopeless and rejected
In Christ I am accepted
The future in place, a smile on my face
to celebrate grace

Now I can celebrate life,
celebrate love, celebrate joy
I can celebrate hope,
celebrate truth, celebrate faith
I can celebrate freedom from the past, now
I’m coming home at last
To celebrate mercy, celebrate Jesus,
